This introductory course builds the foundations of Spanish language and culture. Students begin with real-life situations such as greetings, introductions, and simple questions, developing confidence with new sounds and expressions. Using Entre Culturas 1 textbook as a guide, they explore different Latin American countries and their traditions. Students learn the present tense of common regular verbs and key irregular verbs (ser, estar, ir, tener), as well as how to express near-future actions. Correct spelling and vocabulary use are emphasized in writing exercises. Learning extends beyond the textbook through conversations, crafts, skits, games, food, music, and creative projects that bring language to life.
