Advisory

During the adolescent years, students experience tremendous change as they assert their identities and independence, take on great responsibilities, and engage with the world in deeper ways.

We love this age and work hard to support the incredible arc of growth that happens from grade 5-12. We believe that the social-emotional world of adolescents deserves time, attention, and skill-building. We are here to help Hyla students progress through the personal and academic milestones with support and challenge so they can take healthy risks, try again with second chances, learn, and grow.

Students are encouraged to self-advocate and reach out to teachers as needed for support with classwork and to contact the Dean of Students & School Counselor, Kris Rogers.
