Continue to strengthen the curriculum and student experience at Hyla. Make The Hyla Difference story widely known, experienced and visible in the Bainbridge Island, Kitsap County, and Seattle areas.

Hyla’s mission is only successfully achieved when our commitment to strengthening our culture of caring for, appreciating, and celebrating the members of our school community is felt by all students . We will work to strengthen our DEIB practices and programs with the aim that all students feel that Hyla is a caring, inclusive, equitable place where all identities are valued and celebrated and all students feel like they belong.

The Board of Trustees, administrative staff, and faculty will examine all areas of Hyla School—School Program, Enrollment Management, Advancement, and Business and Operations through the lenses of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging to continue to attend to and strengthen our strategic priority of Cultivating a Culture of Care, Community, and Belonging. .

Ensure Hyla’s short and long-term financial stability, sustainability, and strength through strategic financial planning, enrollment management & marketing, institutional advancement, and operational/business efforts. Ensure financial planning efforts and school program goals are in alignment with and in-service of each other.
